Trgovina z ljudmi in islamistični terorizem

Abstract

Namen prispevka: Islamistični terorizem v zadnjem času predstavlja varnostno grožnjo na svetovni ravni. Cilj članka je osvetliti povezavo med islamističnim terorizmom in trgovino z ljudmi, pri čemer je slednja lahko tako orodje kot posledica terorizma. Avtorja poskušata odgovoriti na raziskovalno vprašanje, na kakšen način sovpadata družbena pojava trgovina z ljudmi in islamistični terorizem. Metode: Ključni uporabljeni metodi v članku sta: metoda študija primerov (pri obravnavi posameznih oblik trgovine z ljudmi) in hermenevtična metoda (razlaga in interpretacija verske literature). Preko primerjalne metode bodo oblikovana dokončna spoznanja o vlogi trgovine z ljudmi napram islamističnemu terorizmu. Ugotovitve: Islamistični terorizem je postal na področju Bližnjega vzhoda primarna varnostna grožnja. S prevzemom nadzora nad večjimi območji je vzpostavil pogoje za delovanje trgovine z ljudmi, pri čemer je povezava med teroristi in trgovino večplastna. Islamistični skrajneži neposredno uporabljajo nekatere oblike trgovine z ljudmi, hkrati pa povzročijo emigracijo in nadaljnjo viktimizacijo beguncev ter migrantov s strani tretjih oseb v okviru trgovine z ljudmi. Islamistični terorizem pri tem uporablja lastno interpretacijo islamskih besedil, da utemelji in opravičuje svoje delovanje. Omejitve/uporabnost raziskave Omejitev raziskave je omejeno število konceptualnih in praktičnih raziskav primerov trgovine z ljudmi glede na islamistični terorizem. Zaradi pomanjkanja akademskih virov in tudi aktualnosti tematike sva avtorja kot vir informacij o določenih primerih trgovine z ljudmi uporabila medijska poročila. Izvirnost/pomembnost prispevka: Tema je relevantna, ker se evropske države soočajo z masovnimi migrantskimi tokovi, ki so povezani s trgovino z ljudmi in islamističnim terorizmom. Izpostavitev povezave med slednjima je pomembna pri oblikovanju varnostne politike. Tema je izvirna, ker na konkretnih primerih predstavi povezavo med islamističnim terorizmom in trgovino z ljudmi.

Secondary abstract:	Purpose: Islamic terrorism in recent years represents a global security threat. Purpose of the article is to expose the connection between Islamic terrorism and human trafficking, where the latter can be a tool or a consequence of the terrorism. Authors are trying to answer the question of how these two different social phenomena (human trafficking and Islamic terrorism) are connected. Design/Methods/Approach: Key used methods are method of case studies (for analysing specific forms of human trafficking) and the hermeneutic method (explanation and interpretation of religious literature). Using comparative method authors will form final findings regarding the role of human trafficking in connection with Islamic terrorism. Findings: Islamic terrorism has become leading security threat in the Middle East. With controlling vast areas of land, it established conditions for human trafficking, which is connected to Islamic terrorism on several levels. Islamic radicals are using some forms of human trafficking, while also causing further victimisation of refugees and migrants by third parties, involved in human trafficking. Islamic terrorism is using its own interpretation of Islamic religious texts to substantiate and justify its deeds. Research Limitations / Implications: The key limitation of our research is limited number of the conceptual and practical research cases on the topic of the human trafficking and Islamic terrorism. Due to the lack of academic research and availability of reporting on current events, authors used media reports to illustrate various human trafficking cases. Originality/Value: The topic is relevant as European countries are facing the recent mass migration waves, which are connected to human trafficking and Islamic terrorism. Identifying the connection between them is important for establishment of successful response to this particular security threat. The topic is original because authors use concrete examples to present the connection between human trafficking and Islamic terrorism.
