Abstract

Secondary title: Application for clarinet tuning on Raspberry Pi computer
Secondary abstract: In this thesis we describe an application for clarinet tuning on a Raspberry pi computer. We get to know the theory behind the clarinet tuning, realtime sound analysis, GPIO inputs for connecting external devices, data transfer over UART protocol and sound capture over I2S protocol. Application is implemented in Python programming language whereas its user interface is coded in C# language. Application for clarinet tuning is meant for home use, as it needs a personal computer connection but it does not need an internet connection. In a scenario where our instrument is out of tune, the application provides us with the intonation of the instrument and compares it to the desired tone. The application displays the actual frequency of played tone as well and it also provides tips for further tuning.
