Abstract

Diplomsko delo je sestavljeno iz teoretičnega in empiričnega dela. V teoretičnemu delu sem najprej predstavila različne definicije slikanice tujih in slovenskih avtorjev ter jih razvrstila po kronološkem vrstnem redu, predstavila različne slikanice za otroke stare od 0 do 3 let, podrobneje opisala slikanico s prvimi pojmi, ki najmlajšim otrokom ne predstavlja le igrače, vendar se preko nje tudi učijo pravil rokovanja s knjigo. Na koncu sem predstavila avtorja Bettino Kummerling-Meibauer in Jorga Meibauerja, ki pravita, da je na temo slikanic za najmlajše narejenih malo raziskav, saj je komunikacija z otroki drugačna in zahtevnejša zaradi malo besednega znanja. V empiričnemu delu sem uporabila kvalitativno metodo raziskovanja in podrobneje opisala različne vrste slikanic za najmlajše in jih med seboj primerjala. Nato sem 8 mesečnemu otroku, ponudila slikanico s prvimi pojmi z naslovom Barve in ga opazovala kako se s slikanico rokuje. Pri tem sem uporabila opazovalno shemo po Bettini Kummerling-Meibauer.

Secondary title: First picturebooks for children
Secondary abstract: The thesis is composed of the theoretical and the empirical part. In the theoretical part I first presented different definitions of picture books by foreing and Slovene authors and sorted them in a chronological order, then I presented different picture books for children aged from 0 to 3 years and described early-concept books. Those are are not only toys for young children but tools that endorse book handling with which the rules of book behavior are thought. Finally I introduced the authors Bettina Kummerling-Meibauer and Jorg Meibauer. They claim that so far little reasearch has been done on the topic of picture books for children because the communication with them is different and more demanding due to children's lower verbal knowledge. In the empirical part I used a qualitative research method and described in detail different types of picture books for young children and compared them with each other. Then I offered early-concept books to a 8 month old baby and watched how he handled them. In doing so I used the Bettina Kummerling-Meibauer observation chart.
