Abstract

Biti učitelj ali vzgojitelj ni le poklic, ampak celostno razdajanje. Poleg strokovnosti morajo učitelji in vzgojitelji biti v prvi vrsti dobri ljudje. Učitelj mora pritegniti otroška srca s svojo naklonjenostjo, prijateljskim odnosom in ljubeznijo do otrok. (Jan Amos Komenski) Namen raziskave je ugotoviti povezanost in izraženost konstruktov čustvene inteligentnosti, čustvenega dela in zadovoljstva pri delu med slovenskimi vzgojitelji in učitelji razrednega pouka. V skupno 109 udeležencev raziskave je bilo vključenih 57 učiteljev razrednega pouka in 52 vzgojiteljev predšolskih otrok. Pri raziskovanju je bil uporabljen naslednji instrumentarij: Vprašalnik čustvenega dela (ELS), Vprašalnik emocionalne kompetentnosti (VEK-45 oz. ESCQ) in Lestvica delovnega zadovoljstva.

Secondary title: Emotional intelligence and job satisfaction of preschool and primary school teachers
Secondary abstract: Being a teacher is not merely a profession, it is giving yourself fully. In addition to professionalism, all teachers must primarily be good people. A teacher must attract hearts of children with his affection, friendliness and love for children. (Jan Amos Komenski) The purpose of this research was to determine the connection and measure of constructs of emotional intelligence, emotional work and job satisfaction among Slovene preschool and primary school teachers. Altogether, 109 teachers were included in this research, 57 of whom were primary school teachers and 52 preschool teachers. The following instruments were used in the research: Emotional Labour Scale (ELS), Emotional Skills and Competence Questionnaire (VEK-45 or ESCQ) and Work Satisfaction Scale. A positive connection between emotional intelligence, job satisfaction, and emotional labour was found. No differences regarding jobs were found while studying all three constructs. The results of data processing (SPSS) have shown that the level of emotional intelligence and the ability of emotional labour affect the work satisfaction of preschool and primary school teachers. However, there are other factors that have influence on job satisfaction, despite that the effect of emotional intelligence cannot be disregarded.
