magistrsko delo
Abstract

Online mindfulness intervention for reducing burnout among students |
Secondary abstract: |
The purpose of this thesis was to examine the effects of online mindfulness interventions on burnout, mindfulness, maladjusted thought patterns and other positive and negative effects on students. At first, 118 students took part in the study, who were subsequently divided into an experimental (N = 24) and control group (N = 19). The members of the experimental group took part in a 3-week-long mindfulness intervention (based on the NARA programme), whereas the control group did not partake in any special activities. The effects of the intervention were compared via a mixed MANOVA, showing eventual changes. Although the variables did not show statistically significant changes, further analyses were conducted for each individual variable. This study's main finding deals with maladjusted thought patterns, which have shown a statistically significant difference in both groups, as well as showing a large effect size. Despite some of the study's shortcomings, significant results have come to light, which could be adapted to the general population under the right conditions. This online mindfulness intervention study is one of the first of its kind in this environment. It could - with some improvements - have an important applicable value for employees and in organisational environments in general. |
