diplomsko delo

Abstract

Secondary title: Tattoos as an obstacle to finding a job
Secondary abstract: This thesis examines the terms related to the problems tattooed people face during their job search or in the organisational setting in general. Theoretical part of the thesis covers employment and discrimination base in this process. Later on, it focuses on discrimination of tattooed individuals in selection procedure, and also on presenting tattooes, which are nowadays becoming more common. The purpose of the thesis is to get to know all theoretical facts and understand the problem as a whole. The practial part was divades into two sections. Firstly, we wanted to determine whether tattooed individuals actually experience discrimination during any stage of the employment process. The results, acquired through means of a questionaire, show that having tattooes doesn't lower the employability of people, neither is a source of problems during a job search. In the continuation of the research, we also focused on the opinion of employers. Three companies of different sizes issued their opinions on tattooes. Analysing the results was not the intention of the second part of the study, given the low sample size. The focus is mainly on providing insights into the behaviour of certain employers towards the individuals with tattooes.
