Abstract

Komunalno blato, kot stranski produkt čiščenja komunalnih voda, vsebuje veliko količino vlage. Pred nadaljnjo uporabo blata, kot surovino za sežig, moramo vlago odstraniti s pomočjo mehanskih in toplotnih postopkov odstranjevanja vlage. V diplomski nalogi bomo s pomočjo numerične analize napovedali hitrosti sušenja komunalnega blata. Podatki, pridobljeni na osnovi numerične analize, so bili primerjani z rezultati meritev realnega procesa sušenja vzorcev komunalnega blata, ki je bil izveden v kuhinjski pečici pri različnih temperaturah sušilnega zraka. Na osnovi rezultatov numerične analize sta bili določeni toplotna in snovna prestopnost, ki smo ju uporabili v analitičnih izračunih. Pri izvedbi numeričnih simulacij smo uporabili različne računske mreže in numerične modele za reševanje turbulentnega toka. Prav tako smo, s pomočjo izračunov različnih Sherwoodovih števil, napovedali bolj natančne vrednosti masnih tokov pri procesu sušenja uparjene vode. Končni rezultati kažejo na do 90-odstotno ujemanje med rezultati meritev in analitično-numerično dobljenimi vrednostmi.

Secondary title: Experimental and analytical-numerical analysis of municipal waste sludge
Secondary abstract: Sludge, as a by-product of wastewater cleaning treatment, contains a large amount of present moisture. Before further use of the sludge as a raw material for incineration, this moisture must be removed with drying. The thesis of the final paper states that we can predict the drying speed of sludge, with the help of analytic-numerical analysis. Results from the analysis are compared with measurements taken from a drying process made in an oven with different set temperatures. From the numerical analysis the necessary velocity vectors are obtained, which are used in the analytical calculation of the mass transfer from the test object to the drying air. We vary the properties of the mash and set various turbulent models to achieve better numerical results. We also try to predict more accurate final values of the evaporated water mass flow by calculating different Sherwood numbers. In the end, when comparing the measure data to the calculated data, we achieve a deviation of about 10%.
