Abstract
Posameznikova življenjska pot je v veliki meri odvisna od njegove kariere, zato je pomembno, da začne o njej že zgodaj razmišljati. Z razvojem kariere posameznik pridobiva različne spretnosti, znanje, izkušnje in kompetence, ki so pomembne pri iskanju zaposlitve. Pridobi jih lahko tudi z neformalnimi oblikami dela, kot so razni projekti, prostovoljno delo itd. Večina mladih se namreč po končanem študiju sooča s težavo pri iskanju zaposlitve, saj niso dovolj kompetentni za določeno delovno mesto zaradi pomanjkanja delovnih izkušenj.
V teoretičnem delu smo predstavili težavo načrtovanja kariere. Predstavili smo pojem kariera, teorije kariere, prvo zaposlitev, delovne izkušnje in kompetence.
V empiričnem delu smo izvedli anketiranje med rednimi študenti 3. letnikov dodiplomskega študija na Fakulteti za organizacijske vede na Univerzi v Mariboru. Zanimalo nas je, kako študenti načrtujejo svojo kariero. Ugotovili smo, da je največ študentov začelo razmišljati o svoji karieri že v srednji šoli. Izkazalo se je, da jih je nekaj že v delovnem razmerju, večina pa delo opravlja delo še preko študentskega servisa. Anketirani študentje menijo, da jim bodo delovne izkušnje, ki so si jih pridobili s študentskim delom, koristile v srednji oz. veliki meri. Ugotovili smo tudi, da so delovne izkušnje pomembne za načrtovanje lastne kariere. Večina študentov pričakuje zaposlitev v roku od 3 do 6 mesecev. Izkazalo se je tudi, da študenti, ki opravljajo študentsko delo v organizacijah, ne vedo, ali se bodo v tem podjetju kasneje lahko zaposlili.

Life path of every individual person is much closed connected with career, that’s why it’s important to think about it in young age. With the development of individual career produced a variety of skills, knowledge, experience and skills that are important in finding a job. Competences can also be acquired through informal forms of work, such as various projects, freelance work, etc. Most young people faced difficulties in finding a job after graduation, as they were not competent enough to determine a job due to a reduction in the number of experiences. In the theoretical part, we presented difficult career planning. We presented the concept of career, career theories, first job, work experience and competences. In the empirical part, we conducted a survey among full- time 3rd year undergraduate students at the University of Maribor, Faculty of Organizational Sciences. We wanted to know how students plan their careers. We found, that most students started thinking about their career as early in high school. It turned out that some of them are already employed and most of them are working through the student service. The surveyed students believe that they will start using the experience they gained with student work in the middle or to a large extent. We also found, that such work experience is important for planning your own career. Most of the students believes that they will get employment within 3 to 6 months. However, it also turned out that most students who do student work in organizations do not know whether they will be able to get a job at this company. |
