Abstract

V magistrskem delu obravnavam politično komuniciranje županov mestnih občin v Republiki Sloveniji na njihovi osebni spletni strani, njihovem Facebook in Twitter profilu. Župani s pomočjo objav na spletnih omrežjih s svojimi volivci vzpostavljajo povezave, vzdržujejo njihovo zvestobo in poudarjajo svoje vrednote. Nekateri izmed županov so uporabljali določena spletna omrežja le v času kampanje, medtem ko drugi vzdržujejo svoja spletna omrežja in "stalno kampanjo" vse leto. Uporaba spletnih strani iz leta v leto narašča. Z raziskavo želim ugotoviti, katero spletno omrežje župani mestnih občin najbolj uporabljajo in kje so najbolj aktivni. V magistrskem delu ugotavljam, da so župani aktivno uporabljali spletna omrežja le v času pred volitvami leta 2018, torej za namene kampanje in samopromocije. Po tem obdobju jih je večina opustila objavljanje. Največ jih še vztraja pri spletnem omrežju Facebook, kjer so skoraj vsi še vedno aktivni in redno objavljajo, vendar je tudi na tem področju bilo moč opaziti razliko med pogostostjo trenutnih objav in pogostostjo objav v času kampanje 2018.

Secondary abstract: In the masterʹs thesis, I discuss the political communication of mayors of urban municipalities in the Republic of Slovenia on their personal website, their Facebook and Twitter profile. With the help of posts on online networks, mayors establish connections with their voters, maintain their loyalty and emphasise their values. Some mayors have used certain online networks online during the campaign, while others maintain their online networks and "ongoing campaign" throughout the year. The use of websites is increasing every year. With the research, I want to find out, which online network is mostly used by mayors of urban municipalities and on which they are most active. In the masters thesis, I find that mayors have actively used online networks only in the 2018 pre-election period, thus for the purposes of campaigning and self-promotion. After this period, the majority of them quit posting. The majority of those, who are still posting, are using Facebook, where almost all of them are still active and are posting regularly, however, a difference in the frequency of current posting and posting within the 2018 campaign is evident.
