Abstract

Secondary title: Analysis and the reception of Lili Novy's slovene poems
Secondary abstract: Poet of two worlds, Lili Novy, wrote in Slovene and German, she was a translator, and later in her career even began writing children's books. In this Bachelor thesis I analysed some of her poems from her two collections of poems, named Temna vrata and Oboki. Secondly I searched periodics for reviews to determine how well was her work acknowledged. She was very respected among her peers and greatly contributed to Slovene literature, but received little recognition from wider audience after her passing. Exception to rule being in this case experts and occasional exhibitions and plays.
