magistrsko delo magistrskega študijskega programa II. stopnje Strojništvo
Abstract
Primerjali smo izmerjeno hrapavost in čase obdelave.

Analysis of 5 axis machining strategies on quality of machined surface |
Secondary abstract: |
This master's thesis presents a study of how different milling strategies affect the quality of surfaces on a specific product-turbine. It focuses on two strategies, point milling strategy wich is more suitable for varied, free surfaces and a flank milling strategy, ideal for turbine blades. We created a CAM program and made a turbine with 5 axis machining. We used flank and point milling strategy for finishing passes of the turbine blades. We optimized the milling parameters to get as close as possible to the theoretical surface roughness. Then compared the measured roughness and milling times. What we found is that with a lateral milling strategy we get better quality of machined surface and shorter machining time in the case of turbine blades. We also provided guidelines for more efficient multi-axis processing of varied free surfaces. |
