Abstract

Vodenje je pomemben del managementa, ki vključuje usmerjanje, vplivanje in motiviranje zaposlenih, da bi ustrezno opravili naloge, potrebne za doseganje ciljev. Raziskovanje nove generacije Z, ki že zaseda delovna mesta, je bistveno za uspešno vodenje, saj bo s svojimi značilnostmi zagotovo spremenila delovno okolje, kar managerjem predstavlja velik izziv pri vodenju. Raziskali smo ključne značilnosti in delovne vrednote generacije Z. S kritičnim pregledom sekundarnih virov smo opredelili časovni in demografski okvir ter opredelili trende, ki so oblikovali generacijo Z in njihova pričakovanja na delovnem mestu. Visoka tehnološka usposobljenost je pozitivno in negativno vplivala na vse poglede njihovega življenja. Z analizo raziskav o generaciji Z in skozi intervjuje z vodjami različnih trgovin z oblačili smo ugotovili, da ima generacija Z slabe delovne navade, zato potrebuje vodenje in usmerjanje na področju socialnih veščin, timskega dela in delovnih navad. Zaradi minljive pozornosti je potrebno generacijo Z motivirati z različnimi nalogami in izzivi, da delo ne postane monotono, prav tako je za vodenje generacije Z bistvena odprta in jasna komunikacija, ki je podkrepljena s vizualnimi prikazi. Z opredelitvijo značilnosti generacije Z smo managerjem predstavili bolj jasno sliko, kakšen delavec je pripadnik generacije Z, ter na podlagi ugotovljenih značilnosti predlagali smernice, kako ustrezno voditi generacijo in se soočiti z izzivi, ki jih generacija Z prinaša. Vključevanje tehnologije v delovni proces, transparentno vodenje in jasna komunikacija, podkrepljena z povratnimi informacijami so priporočila za uspešno vodenje generacije Z. Podjetja se morajo bolj zavedati pomembnosti človeških virov in več vlagati v izobraževanje managerjev na področju vodenja in spreminjanju delovnega okolja, da bodo privabili mlado delovno silo in s tem ostali konkurenčni na trgu.

Secondary title: Challenges of leading generation z in clothing stores
Secondary abstract: Leadership is important part of management which includes guiding, influencing and motivating employees to properly perform the tasks necessary to achive Organizational goals. Exploring the new Generation Z, which is already entering the workplace is mandatory for successful leadership as its unique characteristics will definitely change the work environment. We explored key characteristics and work values of Generation Z. Through a critical review of secondary sources, we defined timelines and demographic framework, identified trends, that shaped Generation Z and their expectations towards workplace. High technological skills have had a positive and negative impact on all aspects of their lives.Through the interwievs with different leaders of various clothing stores, we found out that Generation Z needs leadership and guidance in the areas of social skills, teamwork, and working habits. Due to minimal attention, generation Z needs to be motivated with various tasks and challenges, so that the work does not become monotonous. Open and clear communication is essential for managing Generation Z, supported by visual display. By identifying its characteristics, we presented a clearer picture of what kind of worker is a member of Generation Z. Based on the identified characteristics we proposed guidelines, how to properly lead Generation Z and face the challenges that Generation Z brings. Integrating technology into the work process, transparent leadership and clear communication supported by feedback are recommendations for successful leadership of generation Z. Companies need to be more aware of the importance of human resources and invest more in the eduacation of managers in the filed of leadership management and changing the work environment to attract young workforce and remain competitive in the market.
