Abstract
Članek obravnava koncept "drugosti" skozi reprezentacije njegovih različnih vidikov (etnična, kulturna, družbenospolna, generacijska in - v rasističnih diskurzih izpostavljana - "rasna" "drugost") v romanih Gabriele Babnik Koža iz bombaža, V visoki travi, Sušna doba ter Intimno. V kontekstu teorij postkolonializma (-izmov), ki jih priklicujejo značilni motivi, teme in problematike teh romanov, sta izpostavljeni vprašanji subalternega (Gayatri C. Spivak) in etično problematične razsežnosti koncepta "drugost". Preseganje te problematičnosti članek prepoznava v literarnosti diskurza, s katerim G. Babnik v slovensko književnost uvaja značilne postkolonialne teme.

The article addresses the concept of otherness through the representation of its different aspects (ethnic, cultural, socio-sexual, generational and racial - the latter subject to racist discourse) in the novels of Gabriela Babnik Koža iz bombaža, V visoki travi, Sušna doba and Intimno. In the context of theories of postcolonialism that draw attention to characteristic themes and issues, the article focus on the issue of the subaltern (Gayatri C. Spivak) and the ethical problem of the scope of the concept of otherness. These issues are transcended in the literary discourse through which Gabriela Babnik introduces into Slovene literature characteristic postcolonial themes. |
