magistrsko delo

Abstract

V empiričnem delu so najprej predstavljeni uporabljeni metodološki postopki. V analizo so vključeni pogovorni germanizmi, ki so jih trije prebivalci Kanala uporabili v treh intervjujih. Zvočni posnetki pogovorov so transkribirani fragmentarno in v enostavnem fonetičnem zapisu, za boljše razumevanje govornega korpusa pa so podani tudi v nemščini in knjižni slovenščini. Analiza pridobljenih germanizmov se osredotoča na njihovo razširjenost, pomen in izvor. Rezultati so predstavljeni v obliki slovarskega sestavka.

Secondary abstract: The master's thesis titled Germanisms in Kanal Dialect deals with the analysis of germanisms, which are found in the Kanal dialect. The thesis consists of a theoretical and an empirical part. The theoretical part explains the terminology, such as language contact, interference/transference, foreign word, loanword, code switching, code mixing, nonce borrowing, borrowed translation and internationalism, which is of central importance for interpreting the obtained results. Further on, the German–Slovene language contact is presented. Slovene dialects are described with an emphasis on the Kanal dialect and the towns historical, socio-economic and political development. In the empirical part, the methods used in the analysis are first presented. Colloquial germanisms used by the three inhabitants of Kanal, that participated in three interviews, are included in the research. The audio recordings of the conversations are included in segments and written in a simple phonetic format. For a better understanding of the used speech corpus, the used segments are also translated into standard Slovene and German. The analysis of acquired germanisms focuses on their widespreadness, meaning and origin. The findings are presented in the form of a dictionary entry.
