magistrsko delo
Abstract
Pridobljene rezultate smo analizirali s programom SPSS in jih nato primerjali s podobnimi raziskavami. Rezultati: S Pearsonovo korelacijo smo dokazali, da na zadovoljstvo pacientov statistično značilno vplivajo: čakalna doba (p < 0,001), čakalni čas v čakalnici (p < 0,001), verbalna komunikacija RI (p < 0,001), neverbalna komunikacija RI (p < 0,001), razumljivost podanih informacij pacientu s strani RI (p < 0,001), uspešnost izvedene preiskave (p < 0,001), čustveno stanje pacienta (p < 0,001), splošno zdravstveno stanje pacienta (p < 0,001) in enakost obravnave s strani RI (p < 0,001).

Patient satisfaction with radiographers` service as the element of quality treatment at nuclear medicine department at Institute of Oncology Ljubljana |
Secondary abstract: |
Introduction: Patient satisfaction is an important and commonly used indicator for measuring the quality in health care. Patient satisfaction with medical treatment is influenced by various factors (factors before and during medical treatment). We have no influence on the factors before the treatment of the patient, while the factors during the treatment itself can be influenced. Satisfaction measurements show us in which areas of patient health care improvements are needed. Aim: The aim of this research is to determine whether patients are satisfied/dissatisfied with the organization of work and medical treatment of Radiographers in the Department of Nuclear Medicine and find out which factors influencing patient satisfaction/dissatisfaction with medical treatment. Methods: In the first part of the master's thesis, we present a theoretical background: the concept of quality in health care, what is satisfaction, the factors that affect patient satisfaction and ways to measure satisfaction. In the second part, we distributed a questionnaire to 300 patients who underwent one of the nuclear medical examinations. In the questionnaire, we were interested in how different factors (waiting time, waiting time, Radiographers communication, patient information, the success of the examination, the patient's emotional state, equal treatment of patients, tidiness of the department and demographic characteristics of patients) affect patient satisfaction with the organization of work and treatment in the Department of Nuclear Medicine. The online survey was available on the website 1ka and the results were analysed using IBM SPSS program. The obtained data were compared with already existing/similar research. Results: With Pearson's correlation, we proved that patient satisfaction was statistically significantly affected by: waiting time for examination (p < 0,001), waiting time in the waiting room (p < 0,001), verbal communication Radiographers (p < 0,001), nonverbal communication Radiographers (p < 0,001), comprehensibility of information (p < 0,001), success of the performed examination (p < 0,001), emotional state of the patient (p < 0,001), general health condition of the patient (p < 0,001) and equality of treatment by Radiographers (p < 0.001). The demographic characteristics of the patient (gender, age and education) do not have a statistically significant effect on patient satisfaction with treatment (p > 0.05). Discussion and conclusion: Research has shown that many factors affect patient satisfaction. In the future, we recommend analyzing the impact of patients' income on satisfaction, and compare how patient satisfaction with the organization of work, treatment and work of Radiographers differs between other departments of nuclear medicine in Slovenia. |
