Abstract

V magistrskem delu obravnavamo stališča staršev otrok s posebnimi potrebami do realizacije dodatne strokovne pomoči.

Secondary abstract: The master's thesis deals with the attitudes of parents of children with special needs towards the implementation of additional professional assistance. In Slovenia additional professional assistance is provided to children with special needs, who are directed to the programme for preschool children with adapted implementation and additional professional assistance, and to educational programmes with adapted implementation and additional professional assistance. In the research, a qualitative method was used and semi-structured interviews were conducted. The aim was to find out the attitudes of parents of children, who are directed to the primary school programme with adapted implementation and additional professional assistance, towards the providers of additional professional assistance and aspects of their work, and examine the ways to implement additional professional assistance and the parents' attitudes to these implemented ways. Eight parents of children with special needs who have a special education needs guidance order and are included in the educational programme with adapted implementation and additional professional assistance, which is provided at a regular primary school, were interviewed. Those included in the survey have positive attitudes towards providers of additional professional assistance. They believe that with the help of this, their children can more easily achieve the intended goals and are more successful in the wider environment. Ways of providing additional professional assistance have proven to be the help and support for parents as well as for children. The two-way communication, which takes place between the providers of additional professional assistance, has proven to be successful, as in this type of cooperation this makes it easier for a child with special needs to overcome deficits, obstacles or disorders.
