Abstract
Otrokov prvi stik z naravo je najučinkovitejši takrat, kadar mu omogočimo neposreden stik z živo in neživo naravo. Kadar pa to ni mogoče, lahko otroci spoznavajo, raziskujejo in primerjajo bitja, stvari in pojave prek različnih medijev, kot so slikanice. Prav tako v primerih, kjer imajo neposreden stik z naravo s slikanicami dopolnijo in obogatijo naravoslovno izkušnjo. V diplomskem delu bomo raziskovali, katere slikanice so naravoslovno kakovostne in primerne za učenje naravoslovnih vsebin in s katerimi lahko načrtujemo kakovostno naravoslovno dejavnost, ki je v skladu s cilji, h katerim teži Kurikulum za vrtce. Prav tako smo oblikovali tudi kriterij, s katerim lahko presodimo, ali so slikanice z naravoslovnega področja kakovostne in primerne za kakovostno načrtovanje naravoslovne dejavnosti v vrtcu. V analizo smo vključili 50 slikanic, izdanih po letu 2015, tako domačih kot tujih avtorjev. Vzorec slikanic smo dobili iz Mariborske knjižnice Maribor, enote Tezno. Naša predvidevanja o številu kakovostnih naravoslovnih slikanic se niso izpolnila, saj smo ugotovili, da je še zmeraj veliko slikanic, ki so z naravoslovnega področja, nekakovostnih in otrokom predstavljajo napačen pogled v resnično naravo, na živa bitja, stvari, predmete oz. na okolje, ki nas obdaja. Ob koncu diplomskega dela smo dodali tudi primer priprave, s katero lahko vzgojitelji kljub nekaterim vidikom pomanjkljivih naravoslovnih prikazov načrtujejo ustrezne naravoslovne dejavnosti.

Use of picture books for the source of science activities in the kindergarden |

A child's first contact with nature is most effective when we allow him direct contact with living and non-living nature. However, when this is not possible, children can get to know, explore and compare creatures, things and phenomena through different media, such as picture books. Also, in cases where they have direct contact with nature, they complement and enrich the natural science experience with picture books. In this thesis, we will explore which science picture books are of natural quality and suitable for learning natural sciences and with which we can plan a quality science activity that is in line with the goals of the Kindergarten Curriculum. We also developed a criterion with which we can judge whether the picture books from the field of science are of high quality and suitable for quality planning of science activities in kindergarten. The analysis included 50 picture books published after 2015 by both domestic and foreign authors. A sample of the picture books was obtained from the Maribor Library Tezno unit. Our predictions about the number of quality science picture books were not fulfilled, as we found that there are still many picture books that are of poor quality in the field of science and present children with a wrong view of real nature, living beings, things, objects or environment that surrounds us. At the end of the thesis, we added an example of preparation with which educators can plan appropriate natural science activities, despite some aspects of deficient natural science presentations. |
