Abstract

V nalogi so opisane vsakodnevne težave slepih in slabovidnih v javnem prostoru. Predstavljenih je več sistemov vključevanja slepih in slabovidnih v družbo in okolje. Podrobneje so analizirani primeri dobre prakse.

Secondary title: Systematic design of a ground tactile guidance system for the blind and visually impaired in Lenart v Slovenskih goricah
Secondary abstract: The master's thesis describes the day-to-day struggles of the blind and visually impaired in public spaces. It presents several integration systems of the blind and visually impaired into society and its environment, analysing good practices in detail. Slovenia’s most common integration system is thoroughly analysed and presented. Through a conversation with the blind and visually impaired from the Inter-municipal Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired, we determined their common routes in Lenart, Slovenske Gorice, with an emphasis on accessibility to major institutions. Multiple critical points or places which pose dangers to the blind and visually impaired are highlighted. We find that public spaces are inadequately adapted to the needs of the blind and visually impaired, leading to the proposal of simple, short-term solutions using floor markings which are in colour and texture contrast to the surrounding pavement.
