Abstract

Likovne dejavnosti izvajajo najpogosteje individualno v bolnišnični sobi. Največkrat ponujeni likovni motivi so človeške, živalske figure in domišljijski motivi. Najbolj pogosto uporabljeni likovni področji sta risanje in slikanje.

Secondary title: Implementing activities for the development of social-emotional skills with the integration of art education in hospital kindergartens
Secondary abstract: The fundamental educational aim of hospital kindergartens is to create some appropriate mental and hygienic conditions that are important for the development and well-being of children while being in hospital. The various emotional states experienced by a hospitalized child can be transformed and corrected through art. In the empirical part it was researched how kindergarten teachers develop social-emotional skills by means of art. In the interview five kindergarten teachers from various hospital kindergartens in Slovenia participated. The results have shown that their work planning is at the basic level and their interaction is weak (for planning activities they use just the curriculum, they have little knowledge of additional literature). Art activities are most often performed individually in a hospital room. The most frequently offered art motifs are human ones, animal figures and imaginary motifs. The most commonly used areas of art are drawing and painting. Too little attention is paid to the planning of activities, including the topic of emotions. Kindergarten teachers think that social-emotional skills are developed more spontaneously and not planned, but at the same time they believe that it is important to develop those skills in children in hospital care, because this contributes to a better mental health. The results of this thesis are important for improving the quality of work in hospital kindergartens.
