Abstract

V diplomskem delu smo testirali zaviralni učinek etanolnih izvlečkov listov šestih različnih genotipov murv na rast glive Epicoccum nigrum. Z difuzijsko metodo smo testirali protiglivno delovanje na trdnem agarskem gojišču. V poskus smo vključili šest genotipov murv iz različnih geografskih območji Slovenije, in sicer štiri genotipe bele murve (Morus alba L.), eno črno murvo (Morus nigra L.) in eno platanolistno murvo (Morus platanifolia).

Secondary title: Inhibitory Effect of Mulberry Leaf Ethanolic Extracts on the Epicoccum nigrum Fungus
Secondary abstract: In the diploma thesis, we tested the inhibitory effect of ethanolic leaf extracts of six different mulberry genotypes on the growth of the Epicoccum nigrum fungus. Using a diffusion method, we tested the anti-fungal activity on a solid agar medium. Six genotypes of mulberries from different geographical areas of Slovenia were included in the experiment. We used four genotypes of white mulberry (Morus alba L.), one black mulberry (Morus nigra L.) and one parasol mulberry (Morus platanifolia). The inhibitory effect on the fungus Epicoccum nigrum was statistically significantly demonstrated in only one of the six genotypes. This was the white mulberry sampled in Dragonja. The fungus treated with the extract of this mulberry reached an area of 3523.709 mm2 on average on the twelfth day. On the same day, the fungus on the control petri dish (treated with 70% ethanol) reached an area of 5008.749 mm2. The growth of the fungus on the mulberry extract from Dragonja was 29.6% lower compared to the control. Extracts of other genotypes did not show any significant antifungal activity.
