Abstract

Magistrsko delo je zapisano kot teoretično delo. Raziskuje življenje in ustvarjanje skladatelja Tomaža Sveteta. Obsega začetke njegovega glasbenega ustvarjanja in se nato postopoma usmeri na njegova glasbeno-scenska dela. V njem smo predstavili življenje in delo skladatelja, njegov opus in podrobnejši analitični opis opernega dela Ada. Sledijo podrobnejši segmenti o nastanku in ozadju zgodbe opere in tudi podrobnejši pregled dela iz vidika tehničnih prvin in skladateljskega sloga. Analize se posvečajo generalni strukturi glasbenega dela in proučujejo razmerja med liriko in uglasbitvijo.

Secondary abstract:	The master's thesis is intended to be a theoretical work. It explores the life and work of Tomaž Svete, a composer. The thesis covers the beginnings of his musical composition and then shifts gradually to focus on his musical stage works. It presents the life and work of the composer and his oeuvre, along with a detailed analytical description of the opera, Ada. This is followed by more detailed segments concerning the origins of and background to the story re-enacted in the opera, as well as a comprehensive overview of the work in terms of its technical elements and compositional style. The analyses focus on the general structure of the musical piece and study the relationship between lyricism and music.
