Abstract

Secondary title: The use of supervision at conflicts resolving in health care
Secondary abstract: Introduction: The purpose of the master thesis is to determine the extent to which employees in healthcare organizations use supervision in conflicts resolving. Supervision is a method of learning and is intended for everyone who work with people. With supervision, we support the professional, and we also discover the causes of conflicts in the work team and successfully eliminate them. Methods: In the theoretical part we used a descriptive method. Data for the quantitative part of the research were collected with the help of a questionnaire, which was printed in person and handed over to the leaders of the nursing team in selected institutions. The obtained data were statistically analyzed and edited using Microsoft Word 2010, Microsoft Excel 2010, IBM SPSS Statistic 25.0. T-test and Hi-square test were used for statistical analysis. Results: Nursing staff mostly know supervision as a way of resolving conflicts. Conflicts in teams occur occasionally, but they are mostly very burdensome for employees. Employees are positive about the involvement of supervision in conflict resolution and they opinion that the use of supervision in nursing is very necessary. Almost half of the respondents believe that supervision can increase the flow of information and improve communication. Discussion and conclusion: Conflicts must be identified and resolved in a timely manner, while control over them is possible as a method of learning in great help. We believe that supervision in nursing should be used more often and not only as a method of conflict resolving, but also as a method of developing good interpersonal relationships and preventing possible conflicts.
