Abstract

Secondary title: The stage directions in the Grum's dramatic text Dogodek v mestu Gogi
Secondary abstract: In the paper I criticize the binary definitions that differ only the traditional stage directions from the subversive stage directions. In the text Dogodek v mestu Gogi (1930) the stage directions maintain some traditional properties and do not contain extreme subversions, but rather subtle departures from traditional attributes of the stage directions. Among these, the reduced role of the stage directions as the instruction for the performance and their emphasized aesthetic function. Some types of subversions of the conventions of the stage directions in Dogodek v mestu Gogi give the impression of an anthropomorphic subjective consciousness , which interprets the events in the dialogues. A subjective view of the dramatic action in the stage directions is crucial for the interpretation of the whole text.
