magistrsko delo
Abstract
V teoretičnem delu naloga opredeli koncept ustvarjalnosti in umetnostno terapijo.

The contribution of social work concepts and skills to overcoming obstacles to the use of expressive creative means in leisure |
Secondary abstract: |
The master's thesis describes the use of concepts of postmodern social work in workshops aimed to overcome fear and barriers to being creative. In the theoretical part, the thesis defines the concept of creativity and art therapy. In connection with social work, it presents social cultural work, concepts of postmodern social work and how, they reflect in workshops. In the following, it presents the obstacles that prevent individuals from using expressively creative means in their leisure time, and ways to overcome them. At the end, the thesis presents the workshop as it was designed, and the efficiency criteria. The empirical part of the master's thesis is designed as a community action project. The success and efficiency of the workshops were evaluated through the analysis of the conducted workshops and data collected with individual written questionnaires, unstructured oral questionnaires, and notes of author’s own observations. The aim of the research was also to find out how the concepts of postmodern social work are reflected in another aid context. From the criteria developed based on the professional literature, it was found that the efficiency was good concerning the means, but not in the use of time. All the elements of the working relationship, except for verifying the agreement on the desired outcome of the problem, were completed. The well-being and satisfaction of the participants in the workshops was mostly positive, as the group had an open and safe space for conversation, and the conditions for continuing the working relationship were provided. Due to technical problems, the online workshops had a negative impact on the participants at first, however after the problems were resolved, it was positively accepted. The participants of the workshops defined the criteria for the effectiveness of the workshops on the basis of their problem situation, experience, and knowledge. These were set before the start of the meetings, related to the practical aspects of the meetings and the implementation of knowledge. As the main conclusion, I emphasize that the barriers at the use of expressive creative means can be overcome by using the concepts of postmodern social work. These are set up in such a way that, in cooperation with the user, they can identify an obstacle that is preventing the user to create, while simultaneously, offering a process by which the user can explore the solution or desired outcomes and maintain the newly created patterns. Suggestions for continuing the practice of the workshops, which were derived from the feedback of participants and their own observations, are the following: more practical work, homework with detailed instructions to check and motivate, desired outcomes set in advance, small steps to achieve these outcomes and checking them at each meeting, more space for discussion, concise repetition of the already discussed material, shorter and more focused lectures, more emphasis on building group dynamics, even more relaxed leadership and lectures, more emphasis on checking with individuals how they are succeeding in their progress. |
