Abstract

Hkrati razvijajo in pridobijo številne pomembne izkušnje, kot so samostojnost, ustvarjalnost, kritično mišljenje, sodelovalno delo, komunikacijske spretnosti, uporaba IKT tehnologij in še več. Izdelali smo primer učne priprave in šestih delovnih listov, preko katerih učenci raziskujejo in spoznavajo svoj domači kraj.

Secondary title: Localization of learning on the case of geography and history of Oplotnica
Secondary abstract: The school must be the space connected to the environment in which it is located. Its task is to stimulate students' interest in their hometown. We believe that teachers of geography and history have considerable opportunities to integrate the local environment as a source of teaching. Among other things, they offer students the opportunity to learn outside the classroom, where they gain important life experiences on specific examples. A special advantage of learning in the local environment we find in the use of innovative learning approaches, where students actively participate in the learning process. In addition to the established daily way of working at school, they need additional motivation. At the same time, they develop and gain many important experiences such as independence, creativity, critical thinking, collaborative work, communication skills, use of ICT technologies and more. With their activities, they also enrich life in the local community. Interviews with the geography and history teachers gave us an insight into the inclusion of local topics in their lessons. They gave their opinion on the value of this content, the experience it provides, but also on the limitations that hinder its more frequent use. Further, we created a case study presenting a two-day project work on the example of geography and history of the municipality of Oplotnica. We named the project work after the Oplotnica anthem "Here we are at home", the implementation of which we recommend in the 9th grade. We also presented an overview of the organization of the work, from the very initiative in designing the project topic to the presentation of achievements and evaluation of the work. We created an example of a learning preparation and six worksheets through which students explore and get to know their hometown.
