Abstract

Secondary title: Quality of life of patients with chronic complications of diabetes
Secondary abstract: Theoretical Background: Diabetes is one of the most common chronic diseases such as Lifetime disease reduces patient's quality of life, disability or even triggers premature death. Therefore, glycemic control is essential to patient well-being. Starting points for prevention of chronic complications of diabetes disease are a healthy lifestyle and discipline to it's own body, especially regular physical activity for at least 30 minutes of intense exercise a day, regular, balanced and adequate diet and regular use of drugs. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to present the theoretical part of diabetes, diabetes and complications that can occur in diabetes, and the empirical part through an anonymous questionnaire to present quality of life of diabetic patients with chronic complications of diabetes. Methods:We used a describable (descriptive) method. The survey was based on qualitative methodology. For data collection we used an anonymous questionnaire. The research was conducted at the Hospital Topolšica in diabetic ambulance. The research sample has included 40 patients with diabetes in the adult population with chronic complications of diabetes. Results and Discussion: The results showed that patients with chronic complications of diabetes very well-know chronic complication of diabetes, that most informations are obtained from a doctor and that ½ of respondents offer maximum support partner / s and that these complications do not affect much on their everyday life and activities. I believe that the diabetic patients had a greater number of sign-in in association with diabetes, because that's where they get further information about the disease, treatment and future life with diabetes, because the acquisition of information by nurses and doctors has diminished because of their lack of time and big extensive of work.
