Secondary abstract: | In this paper, I present recent views on the nature and role of events in lyric poetry and analyse three selected poems. All of them are characterised by the representation of external, everyday events. The roles of the events vary: some have an allegorical function, others run parallel to the thought process and emotional responses; all the poems are characterised by the impression of enunciation in the present, and the modes of presentation contribute to the ritual effect. |
