(diplomska naloga)
Abstract
Pacienti in patronažne medicinske sestre so v času zdravljenja golenje razjede pogosto v stiku.

Secondary abstract: |
In diploma work is presented the topic of patient's knowledge of the problem of shank ulcer, how much do they know about their own disease and who is their source of information. Thirty patients have been questioned in urban and rural environment. We used descriptive working method and with the method of survey we collected data and analyzed it. We discovered that patients are well informed about their disease and that their main source of information is a home health and hospice nurse. They expect more information by doctors and nurses from general medicine clinic. We also found that the maximum support and help with spot treatment is provided by home health and hospice nurse.
Through research we learned that age level is high and that the shank ulcer appears at patients over 70 years. Educational attainment at this age is mostly elementary. In conjunction with education, age and environment, from which the patient origins, we discovered there is no connection between these factors, since the results showed, that the same factors do not affect the understanding of shank ulcer.
Shank ulcer is a wound, which requires long term treatment. Patients are satisfactory informed with risk factors, such as movement, obesity, long sitting or standing. Assistance and support to patients are provided by home health and hospice nurse, so during the treatment of shank ulcer they are often in contact. Confidence and motivation from both sides are most definitely the foundation of good communication and relationship, which can accelerate healing. |
