Abstract
V diplomski nalogi nas je zanimalo, ali so zaposleni v konkretni javni zdravstveni ustanovi zadovoljni z usklajevanjem poklicnega in družinskega življenja, kako zadovoljni so glede tega s podporo vodstva ter ali obstajajo razlike pri usklajevanju zaposlenih glede na zakonski status, otroke in glede na spol.
V teoretičnem delu diplomskega dela smo preučili literaturo, ki se nanaša na usklajevanje poklicnega in družinskega življenja ter predstavili pojme, pomembne za to področje. Zanimalo nas je tudi s kakšnimi težavami se soočajo starši pri usklajevanju poklicnega in družinskega življenja ter kakšen je prispevek države oz. zakonodaje v smislu pomoči staršem pri usklajevanju obeh področij, nenazadnje pa tudi, kakšne družini prijazne politike in prakse posameznikom omogočajo lažje usklajevanje poklicnega in družinskega življenja.
V raziskovalnem delu smo s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika prišli do rezultatov, ki so pokazali, da imajo zaposleni v preučevani javni zdravstveni ustanovi usklajeno poklicno in družinsko življenje, da so s podporo vodstva glede tega zadovoljni ter da med zaposlenimi glede na zakonski status, otroke in spol ni razlik pri uspešnosti usklajevanja poklicnega in družinskega življenja. Kljub temu pa menimo, da bi bilo smiselno v nadaljnjih raziskavah ugotoviti, kakšna je slika glede usklajevanja poklicnega in družinskega življenja na ravni celotne organizacije. Ravno tako se nam zdi pomembno o problematiki usklajevanja poklicnega in družinskega življenja ozaveščati ljudi z namenom, da bi se uvedle izboljšave, ki bi prinesle koristi tako zaposlenim kot organizaciji.

Work-Family balance of employees in a public health care institution |
Secondary abstract: |
In the assignment thesis we were wondering whether employees in a specific public health institution were satisfied with the work and family life coordination, how satisfied they were with the support of management, and whether there were differences in the coordination of employees considering their marital status, children and gender.
In the theoretical part of the thesis we examined literature relating to the work and family life coordination and presented concepts relevant to this field. We also wanted to know what difficulties parents face in coordinating work and family life, and what is the contribution of the state or legislation in terms of helping parents to balance the two areas, and not least what family-friendly policies and practices make it easier for individuals to reconcile work and family.
In the research work, we came up with the results of a survey questionnaire that showed that employees in the public health institution studied have a harmonious professional and family life, that they are satisfied with the support of management, and that there are no differences in the success of work-life balance among employees considering their marital status, children and gender. Nevertheless, we believe that it would be sensible in further research to find out what the picture is about the reconciliation of work and family at the level of the entire organization. We also think it is important to make people aware of the issue of reconciling work and family life in order to introduce improvements that will benefit both employees and the organization. |
