Abstract

Secondary title: Teaching of pre-school children befor and during covid-19
Secondary abstract: Learning for the preschool child is of paramount importance, because learning brings order to the otherwise chaotic surrounding situation. In the preschool stage, learning is about satisfying the child's basic needs, the foundation of which is curiosity, and the desire for knowledge will surface at any time, even when other needs have been satisfied. For the purpose of this thesis, the quantitative research method was used to examine how the Covid-19 epidemic affected learning in preschool children, both before and during the epidemic. We also looked into educators, preschool children, and learning activities of the child during the Covid-19 epidemic. By studying secondary sources and the primary data itself, which we obtained through a survey and statistical analysis, we concluded that to a large extent, children had encountered difficulties during the Covid-19 period, they had lost a great deal of knowledge, and what is more, various problems emerged in social, emotional, and other areas. Children's knowledge was much better before the epidemic than during it, and this was evident upon their return to preschool classrooms. Knowledge had to be rebuilt and the so-called "damage" caused by the Covid-19 epidemic had to be remedied. To summarise, our study has shown that every epidemic and unpleasant situation largely affects a child's knowledge.
