Abstract

Podatke, pridobljene v raziskavi, smo uredili, grafično oblikovali in prikazali s pomočjo računalniških programov Microsoft Excel in Microsoft Word.

Secondary title: TICK-BORNE ENCEPHALTIS IN CHILDREN AND THE IMPORTANCE OF DIAGNOSTICS
Secondary abstract: The thesis describes the tick-borne encephalitis in a child, namely description of the pathogen and vector, course of illness, the importance of diagnostics to confirm the diagnosis and treatment and consequences, the disease leaves behind. When making a thesis it has been of great help both domestic and foreign literature. We used a descriptive method. Thesis was enriched by research that was conducted through an anonymous questionnaire. Subjects were parents of small, preschool and school children, therefore children between the ages of one and up to 15 years. We distributed 40 questionnaires to the area of Maribor and its surroundings. The questionnaire consisted of 19 questions of closed and semi-open type. All the information obtained in the survey were edited, graphic designed and displayed using computer programs Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. We have found that people have heard of the disease tick-borne encephalitis, but the risk of this disease today is insufficiently aware of. This fact explains the very small number of vaccinated children in Slovenia. Due to this fact, parents are insufficient to protect their children against tick repellents and appropriate protective clothing. Within scope of nurses will continue to be given greater emphasis on prevention, because it is much easier to raise people's awareness about prevention of healthy life, than to deal with the cure.
