Abstract
Zgodnje poučevanje naravoslovja je v predšolskem obdobju zelo priporočeno, saj otroci zelo radi raziskujejo in se učijo novih stvari. V praksi je to področje, predvsem z vidika eksperimentiranja, kjer otroci prevzamejo vlogo preizkuševalcev, velikokrat zapostavljeno ali pa pomanjkljivo načrtovano in izvedeno. To se v kasnejših letih kaže tudi v pomanjkanju znanja pri naravoslovnih predmetih. Diplomsko delo je sestavljeno iz teoretičnega in empiričnega dela. V teoretičnem delu je s pomočjo strokovne literature predstavljeno zgodnje poučevanje naravoslovja, priprava na izvajanje eksperimentalnih dejavnosti v vrtcu ter vlogo odraslih pri le-teh. V empiričnem delu je predstavljena raziskava, ki je bila izvedena v Javnem zavodu Vrtec Zreče, in njeni rezultati. Z otroki so bile izvedene eksperimentalne dejavnosti, s katerimi se je ugotavljalo, zakaj nekateri predmeti plavajo, drugi pa potonejo. Pri izvajanju poskusov so bili uporabljeni predmeti različnih velikosti, oblik in materialov. Večina otrok je bila prepričana, da je plovnost predmeta odvisna predvsem od mase, torej da težki predmeti potonejo. Z eksperimentiranjem je bilo ugotovljeno, da na plovnost vplivajo posamezni materiali, saj se le-ti med sabo razlikujejo po gostoti. Eksperimentiranje je s strani otrok bilo izvedeno z velikim navdušenjem, kar je lahko spodbuda za strokovne delavce, zaradi česar bi eksperimentalne dejavnosti, bodisi z različnimi tekočinami ali pa preučevanjem pojavov, bile večkrat vključene v načrtovano vzgojno-izobraževalno delo.

Researching buoyancy with kindergarten children |

Early science teaching is highly recommended in the preschool period, as children love to explore and learn new things. In practice, however, the area, where children take on the role of examiners is often neglected or poorly planned and implemented from the experimentation point of view. This is also reflected in the later years in the lack of knowledge in science subjects. The diploma thesis consists of theoretical and empirical work. In the theoretical part, with the help of professional literature, the early teaching of science, preparation for the implementation of experimental activities in kindergarten and the role of adults in them are presented. The empirical part presents the research carried out at the Zreče Kindergarten Public Institution and its results. Experimental activities were carried out with the children to find out why some objects float, and others sink. Objects of various sizes, shapes and materials were used in the experiments. Most of the children were convinced that the buoyancy of an object depends mainly on the mass, i.e., that heavy objects sink. Experimentation has shown that buoyancy is affected by individual materials, as they differ in density. The experimentation was carried out by the children with great enthusiasm, which can be an incentive for professionals, to include experimental activities, either with different fluids or studying phenomena repeatedly in the planned educational work. |
