Abstract

V teoretičnem delu smo s pomočjo zgodovinske in deskriptivne metode predstavili nastanek, delovanje in repertoar vseh trenutno delujočih tamburaških orkestrov Podravja.

Secondary title: Tamburitza players in the podravje region and performance of folk songs
Secondary abstract: Tamburitza music has been present in Slovenia since the end of the 19th century and has been preserved to this day. There is no written record on tamburitza players in the Podravje region, which would include a history and overview of the work of all tamburitza orchestras or groups that have ever operated in the area. The theoretical part presents the origin, operation and repertoire of all currently operating tamburitza orchestras in the Podravje region using the historical and the descriptive method. It also presents the development of tamburitza music, tamburitza instruments and systems and the development of tamburitza music in Slovenia. The thesis reviews Slovenian folk songs performed at the meetings of tamburitza players and mandolinists of Slovenia between 2010 and 2020; it also presents all the organizers and the number of adapted Slovenian folk songs within these regional meetings. The practical part presents five new arrangements of Slovenian folk songs written for the basic ensemble of tamburitza orchestras. Of these, two are arrangements of folk songs not found in the repertoires of tamburitza orchestras in the Podravje region; none were found at the meetings of tamburitza players and mandolinists of Slovenia between 2010 and 2020.
