Secondary abstract: | The first part of the article gives a basic sketch of the poetry of Prekmurje Slovenes until 1919, then it focuses on verse-forming practices and describes the transition from a syllabic to a syllabic-accentual principle of verse formation in the second half of the 19th century, explaining it with the influence of Slovene poetry on Prekmurje authors in the period when cultural contacts between Prekmurje Slovenes and the Slovene cultural space were strengthened. |
