Abstract

V tej diplomski nalogi je opisan razvoj simulatorja elektrostatične razelektritve za integrirana vezja in izzivi, s katerimi smo se srečali pri razvoju. Simulator je sestavljen iz treh glavnih modulov in sicer kontrolne ploščice, nastavljivega visokonapetostnega napajalnika in visokonapetostnega stikala. Med razvojem projekta smo se odločili, da bomo pri razvoju simulatorja poskušali čimbolj zmanjšati stroške. Ta odločitev je pomenila dodaten razvoj in izdelavo nastavljivega visokonapetostnega napajalnika in visokonapetostnega stikala. Vsi moduli so bili načrtovani skladno z modularnostjo, da bi lahko v primeru eventualne kasnejše nadgradnje ali zamenjave, le-ta potekala čimbolj nemoteno. Eno od spoznanj med delom na projektu je bilo tudi to, da bi izdelava simulatorja, ki bi ustrezal vsem standardom, zahtevala precej več časa in bistveno večji proračun. Kljub temu nam je uspelo narediti izdelek, ki glede na specifikacije ustreza standardom, razen dvižni čas tokovnega pulza, ki nam ga ni uspelo zmanjšati pod zahtevanih 10 ns. Izdelek je zasnovan modularno, kar omogoča enostavno nadgradnjo.

Secondary abstract: This thesis addresses the development of an electrostatic discharge simulator and the challenges faced along the way. The simulator consists of three main modules which are the main control board, adjustable high voltage power supply, and high voltage switch. During development, we decided to focus on lowering overall costs. This decision meant additional time spent on the development of a high voltage power supply and a high voltage switch. All modules were planned with modularity in mind. In the case of malfunction or upgrade, therefore, each module coul be easily replaced. During the project, it was concluded that the development of an ESD simulator fitting all the requirements of the standard would require much more time and a bigger budget. Nevertheless, it was possible to make a product with specifications that meet most standard requirements. The exception was the rise time of the current pulse which exceeded the required 10 ns. The product is designed modularly, which allows uncomplicated upgrades
