Secondary abstract: | The paper examines the representation of Islam in primary school poetry in the third educational period. The most frequently read texts in which we encounter themes from the Muslim world are Turjaška Rozamunda (Rosamund of Turjak) by France Prešeren and Čaša nesmrtnosti (Glass of Immortality) by Anton Aškerc. The learning objective of literary lessons is to deal with texts in a cultural context. The article shows how successful we are at achieving this. A survey of acceptance and perception of Islam as shown in the texts was conducted among the eighth graders. |
