Abstract

Secondary abstract: Milka Hartman (1902-1997) was a poet from Libuče/Loibach (Austria). The evaluation of her 860 lyric poems and her prose shows her attitude towards folk songs and her popularity, reflected in the music of 418 of her songs. She is present in the young generation as well as on concert stages and radio programmes, but online she is accused of Pan-Slavism and naive poetry. In Carinthia she is highly respected as a creator of original Slovene lyric poetry.
