Abstract

Bolnišnične okužbe predstavljajo najpogostejši zaplet zdravljenja, podaljšujejo zdravljenje v ustanovi in s tem zvišujejo strošek zdravljenja. Pojavljajo se povsod, kjer poteka zdravstvena dejavnost, najpogosteje pa v bolnišnicah. Preprečevanje, spremljanje in nadzor okužb je pomembna naloga vseh zdravstvenih delavcev. Biti mora smiselno in usmerjeno k vzrokom za nastanek okužb. Higiena rok je temeljni ukrep za preprečevanje prenosa mikroorganizmov v zdravstveni dejavnosti, ki vključuje umivanje, razkuževanje, uporabo rokavic, tehniko nedotikanja in vzdrževanje zdrave kože. Za učinkovito izvajanje higiene rok je potrebno pravilno in dosledno prepoznavanje priložnosti, pravilna izbira in izvedba postopka ter uporaba ustreznih pripomočkov, kot je razkužilo. Namen diplomskega dela je predstaviti bolnišnične okužbe, kako jih preprečujemo in izvajamo nadzor nad njimi ter najpomembneje, kako higiena rok vpliva na razvoj bolnišničnih okužb. Namen raziskave je bil ugotoviti, koliko zdravstveni delavci poznajo ukrepe za preprečevanje bolnišničnih okužb, koliko jih upoštevajo in kdaj, ter ali naredijo vse, da bi preprečili morebitne bolnišnične okužbe. Raziskava je temeljila na kvantitativni metodologiji dela z uporabo strukturiranega anketnega vprašalnika. Analiza rezultatov je pokazala, da zdravstveni delavci poznajo ustrezne ukrepe za preprečevanje in obvladovanje bolnišničnih okužb in jih tudi upoštevajo. Pri umivanju in razkuževanju rok so dosledni, vendar bi lahko higieno rok še izboljšali, njihovo znanje glede uporabe rokavic pa je pomanjkljivo.

Secondary abstract: Nosocomial infections represent the most frequent complication of treatment; they extend treatment in the health institution and with this raise the cost of it. Nosocomial infections are occurring everywhere take place health care activities, more often in the hospital. Prevention, monitoring and control of infection are important tasks for all healthcare professionals. Prevention of nosocomial infections must be appropriate and directed towards the causes of infections. Hand hygiene is the basic precaution to prevent transmission of microorganisms in health care activity, which includes washing, disinfection, the use of gloves, technique without touching the surroundings and maintenance of healthy skin. For effective implementation of hand hygiene, the opportunities must be correctly and strictly recognized, the correct choice and implementation of the procedure and the use of appropriate accessories such as disinfectant. The purpose of the diploma was to present the hospital infections, how to prevent and control them, and most importantly how the hand hygiene influence on the development of nosocomial infections. The aim of the study was to determine how much health professionals recognize the procedures for prevention of nosocomial infections, how they follow it and at what times, and whether they do everything possible to prevent nosocomial infections. The research was based on a quantitative methodology by using a structured questionnaire. The analysis of results has revealed that health professionals are familiar with the appropriate measures for prevention and control of nosocomial infections, and they also follow them. When washing and disinfecting hands they are consistent, but they could even improve hand hygiene, as well as their lack of knowledge regarding the use of gloves.
