Abstract
Pojem glasbenega izobraževanja v Evropski uniji zajema kompleksne izobraževalne sisteme članic EU. Organizacija glasbenega izobraževanja je zaradi nacionalnega pomena ohranjanja kulturne dediščine v izključni domeni držav članic ter se med seboj močno razlikujejo. Unija zajema sedemindvajset držav članic, od teh je bilo v raziskavo vključenih petindvajset. Raziskava je potekala na osnovi družboslovnega raziskovanja, torej s kombinacijo kvantitativnih in kvalitativnih metodoloških pristopov; in sicer z opisno metodo, primerjavo, zbiranjem, analizo, sintezo ter komentarjem. Države članice EU se med seboj razlikujejo v praktično vseh pogledih, pa vendarle obstajajo skupne točke ne glede na status, velikost in vpliv posamezne članice znotraj EU. Primerjava glasbenega izobraževanja posameznih članic EU obravnava članice glede na datum pridružitve EU. Glede na uporabljena raziskovalna vprašanja raziskava podaja naslednje odgovore glede organizacijske strukture glasbenih šol po članicah EU. In sicer od tega, koliko članic ima krovni zakon o glasbenem šolstvu kot Slovenija. Kakšna je možnost glasbenega izobraževanja v članici torej, urejenost sprejemnih izpitov ter struktura organizacijskih modelov glasbene šole, financiranja javnih ter zasebnih glasbenih šol, koliko članic imam implantiran institut plačevanja šolnine v svoje javno šolstvo, kaj zajema kurikulum o glasbenem izobraževanju v članicah, če ga imajo, ter kakšni so njegovi sestavni elementi in navsezadnje kakšna je usposobljenost glasbenih pedagogov v državah članicah EU.

The concept of music education in the European Union covers the complex education systems of EU Members. The organisation of music education is, because of its national importance, the preservation of cultural heritage in the exclusive domain of the Member States and differ greatly from one another. The Union comprises 27 Member States of these, twenty-five were included in the survey. The research was carried out on the basis of social sciences research, i.e. through a combination of quantitative and qualitative methodological approaches; by descriptive method, comparison, collection, analysis, synthesis and commentary. EU Member States differ in virtually every respect, but there are common points, regardless of the status, size and influence of each member within the EU. A comparison of the music education of individual EU members deals with members according to the date of eu association. According to the research questions used, the survey provides the following answers regarding the organisational structure of music schools across EU Member States. Namely, of how many members has an umbrella Law on music education, just like Slovenia.
