Abstract

Celiakija je neozdravljiva avtoimunska bolezen, ki nastane pri osebah z genetsko predispozicijo in najpogosteje prizadene tanko črevesje. Celiakija ni več bolezen otroške dobe, ampak se pojavlja v vsakem starostnem obdobju, tudi pri starostnikih. Razširjenost celiakije je vse pogostejša, prizadeta je vsaka 50–100-ta oseba. Nekateri bolniki, ki bolehajo za celiakijo, imajo težave v prebavilih, in tudi na drugih organih, pa čeprav se držijo stroge brezglutenske diete. Vzrok za težave so intolerance za druga zaužita živila. Namen diplomskega dela je predstaviti značilnosti celiakije pri odraslih in ugotoviti, kako pogosto se pojavljajo intolerance na določena živila ter izpostaviti reakcijo odraslih zbolelih za celiakijo na spremenjen način življenja. Raziskava je temeljila na kvantitativni metodologiji. Podatke smo pridobili s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika, ki je vseboval 18 vprašanj zaprtega tipa. V raziskavo je bilo vključenih 50 odraslih bolnikov, ki so člani Slovenskega društva za celiakijo. Na podlagi raziskave smo ugotovili, da so imeli bolniki pred diagnozo netipične simptome, obdobja diareje in obdobja zaprtja. Večina bolnikov je imela tudi intoleranco za druga zaužita živila. Veliko bolnikov se je z diagnozo odzvalo z zaskrbljenostjo. Pomembno je, da se s celiakijo sprijaznimo, jo sprejmemo in z njo kakovostno živimo.

Secondary abstract: Celiac disease is an incurable autoimmune disease that occurs in people with genetic predisponsition, and most often affects the thin intestine. Celiac disease is no longer a disease of childhood, but it occurs at any age, even in the eldery. Prevalence of celiac disease is more frequent, affected every 50 – 100. person. Some patients who suffer from celiac disease, gastrointestinal problems, and also in other organs, even to stick a strict gluten – free diet. The rason for the problems of intolerance to other foods consumed. Purpose of this study is to present the features of celiac disease in adults and to determine how often they occur intolerance to certain foods and stress reaction of adults diagnosed with celiac disease in a modified way of life. The survey was based on a quantitative methodology. Data were collected trought a survey questionnaire, which contained 18 closed questions. The study included 50 adult patients who are members of the Slovenian Association of celiac disease. Based on the survey, we found that patients had atypical symptoms before diagnosis, periods of diarrhea and periods of constipation. Most patients also had an intolerance to other foods consumed. Many patients have been diagnosed with responded with concern. It is important to come to terms with celiac disease, you accept and live with it quality.
