Abstract

Secondary language: English
Secondary title: A review and assessment of the co2 capture technology from the flue gases in a district heating plant
Secondary abstract: The diploma thesis presents the issues of global warming, climate change and the contribution of carbon dioxide to this. Technologies for capturing CO2 from flue gas installations in the energy sector are presented in more detail as a measure to reduce CO2 emissions. The production plant of Energetika Maribor was considered as the reference heating plant. As there is a lot of uncertainty regarding this technology, especially in terms of costs, a computational model has been developed to estimate the decline in energy efficiency, CO2 capture costs and the need for additional energy.
