Abstract
Literaturo smo iskali na podlagi iskalnega niza v angleškem jeziku v naslednjih podatkovnih bazah: PubMed, Medline, CINAHL, Cochrane Library in v iskalniku Google Scholar.
Rezultati: Najbolj zastopane simulacijske lutke so bile z nizko stopnjo posnemanja resničnosti (19/22; 86,3 %).

The importance of child and adolescent anthropometry on the choice of simulation manikins for teaching basic life support |
Secondary abstract: |
Introduction: Current guidelines for teaching children and adolescents recommend the use of commercially available and affordable simulation manikins. The aim of this thesis is to investigate the level of fidelity of simulation manikins and the importance of child and adolescent anthropometry on the choice of simulation manikin when teaching children and adolescents adult CPR.
Methods: We used a descriptive method of work, using a five-step methodological framework. The literature was searched using the English-language search string in the following databases: PubMed, Medline, CINAHL, Cochrane Library and in the search engine Google Scholar.
Results: The most represented simulation manikins were those with a low level of fidelity (19/22; 86,3%). The most common BMI value was between 16 and 21 (21/22; 95,4%). In most studies (19/22; 86,3%), simulation manikins with a low level of fidelity were chosen based on the children’s and adolescent’s anthropometry, which was in the under or normal range.
Discussion: Simulation manikins with a low level of fidelity are well suited for adult CPR learning. The results showed that the children and adolescents who performed more correctly the adult CPR were those who had higher anthropometric values and where the level of fidelity of the simulation manikin was appropriately chosen for learning |
