Povzetek

Uvod: Strokovnjaki priporočajo začetek usposabljanja temeljnih postopkov oživljanja (TPO) in prve pomoči (PP) že v zgodnjem otroštvu, kljub temu da lahko intelektualne in telesne sposobnosti otrok predstavljajo oviro. V številnih primerih lahko otroci samo s klicem na pomoč nekomu rešijo življenje. Namen zaključnega dela je raziskati, ali so se predšolski otroci zmožni naučiti TPO in PP odrasle osebe ter smotrnost le-tega. Metode: Uporabili smo opisno metodo dela. Iskanje literature je potekalo z iskalnim nizom v podatkovnih bazah PubMed, CINAHL (with Full Text) in Cochrane Libraryin ter s pomočjo pregleda spletnega bibliografskega sistema COBISS (angl. Co-operative Online Bibliographic System & Services) in iskalnika Google Scholar. Rezultati: Izmed 1099 zadetkov smo v končno analizo vključili 13 člankov. Obravnavajo 2962 otrok, starih od 4 do 14 let. Največ člankov je za prenos znanja izvedlo tečaje, ki so trajali od 30 do 45 minut. Te so ponovili od 2- do 6-krat. Vsi članki so uporabljali različne didaktične pripomočke, kot so: Rescube, Endless Book, lestvica Nonide, slike, pesmice, simulacijsko lutko nizke stopnje resničnosti, plišasto igračko itd. Le redki od teh so bili pred uporabo validirani s strani strokovnjakov s področja TPO in PP odrasle osebe. Razprava: Študije dokazujejo, da so predšolski otroci sposobni razumeti in izvajati TPO in PP odrasle osebe, ki se je naučijo s pomočjo inštruktorjev ali vzgojiteljev. Usposabljanje otrok za TPO in PP je izvedljivo in vodi v izboljšanje znanja, spretnosti in predvsem razvoj motivacije za pomoč.

Sekundarni povzetek: Introduction: Experts recommend beginning training in basic CPR and adult first aid at an early age, even if intellectual and physical abilities present an obstacle. In many cases, children can save someone's life simply by calling for help. The aim of this thesis is to investigate whether pre-school children are able to learn adult CPR and other first aid procedures and whether this is expedient. Methods: We have used a descriptive method of research. The search for literature was conducted using a search string in PubMed, CINAHL (with Full Text) and Cochrane Libraryin databases and a review of the Cooperative Online Bibliographic System & Services (COBISS) combined with Google Scholar search engine. Results: Out of 1099 results, we selected 13 articles and included them in the final analysis. They cover 2962 children, aged from 4 to 14. Most of the articles conducted courses for knowledge transfer, which lasted between 30 and 45 minutes. These were repeated between 2 and 6 times. All articles used a variety of didactic aids such as the Rescube, the Endless Book, the Nonide Scale, pictures, songs, a low reality simulation puppet, a plush toy, etc. Only a few of these were validated by experts in the field of TPO and adult PP before use. Discussion: Studies show that preschool children are able to understand and perform adult CPR and other first aid procedures, if they are taught by instructors or educators. Training children how to provide first aid is reasonable and results in improved knowledge, skills and, above all, the development of motivation to help.
