Abstract

Največji poudarek smo dali na primer slovenskega podjetja LA POPSI d. o. o., katerega smo primerjali s tremi konkurenčnimi podjetji (INDY & PIPPA d. o. o., INCOM d. o. o. in LUMI7 d. o. o.) in nato razložili dobljene rezultate. Secondary title: Analysis of business performance of a company owned by women entrepreneurs
Secondary abstract: Entrepreneurship is a concept that is much debated in the modern world, whether as a way out of an economic or financial crisis that has left us unemployed, or as another way to earn money through formal employment. Entrepreneurship is a valuable combination of resources and job creation processes. To seize an opportunity, an entrepreneur must have an entrepreneurial idea, an opportunity and the resources or means to start a business, and all stages of the entrepreneurial process must be involved, including the identification of business opportunities, the development of a business plan, and the acquisition of the resources needed to run the business. The desire to 'be your own boss' drives women and men entrepreneurs around the world to take social, psychological and financial risks and to strive to start and grow new businesses. Entrepreneurship could be called a 'scarce commodity' as it is unevenly distributed among the population. It is not only a matter of personal qualities, skills and abilities, but also of individual preferences. An individual may have all the necessary skills and knowledge, but the decision to become an entrepreneur is a personal one. Due to family commitments and lack of time for exploration, in addition to household chores, raising and caring for children, women entrepreneurs often find themselves in a situation where the thought of starting their own business is an obstacle and a constant conflict between the roles of entrepreneur, wife and mother. In this thesis, we analysed the competitive indicators of three companies to show that companies run by female or woman entrepreneurs can be just as successful in business as companies run by male or man entrepreneurs. We focused on the case of the Slovenian company LA POPSI d.o.o., which we compared with three competitors (INDY & PIPPA d.o.o., INCOM d.o.o. and LUMI7 d.o.o.) and then interpreted the results obtained. For LA POPSI d.o.o. we presented the growth strategy, the life cycle, and made a forecast for the future. We also analysed the results obtained from the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) special survey on women's entrepreneurship titled Women's Entrepreneurship 2020/21, which indicates that worldwide 30.2 % of the female entrepreneurs surveyed expect to employ six or moThe desire to "be your own boss" drives entrepreneurs all over the world to consider the social, psychological and financial risks involved in starting and growing new businesses.
