Abstract

Stres je spremljevalec današnjega življenja. Neposredno vpliva na celotno telo in dolgoročno povzroča različne bolezni. V teoretičnem delu naloge smo s pomočjo opisne metode opredelili stres, njegove faze in stresorje. Nato smo predstavili posamezne vrste stresa. Raziskavo smo s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika izvedli med 43 zaposlenimi v banki X. Podatke smo nato analizirali s pomočjo programa Microsoft Excel in statističnega programa Statistical Package for the Social Sciences - SPSS.

Secondary title: STRESS MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUES FOR WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Secondary abstract: Stress accompanies our modern life. It directly affects the entire body and on long-term causes health problems and different diseases. In the theoretical part of this work we have defined stress, stressors and stress phases using descriptive method. After that we present specific types of stress. Throughout this paper, we mainly focus on stress in the workplace and its overall impact on the individual's life. Our attention was on different techniques for long-term elimination of tension and techniques for managing present physical stress. Finally, we have identified stress management techniques from the business point of view. In the empirical part of the paper we present the results of the research conducted within the Bank X. We were interested in whether the employees of the Bank X perceive stress at the workplace, and if so, which techniques for stress management are known to them and if they apply them, and furthermore what ways of stress relief are enabled by their company. For this research we have used a questionnaire that was completed by 43 employees of the bank X. The data were then analyzed using Microsoft Excel and SPSS statistical program. Hypothesis tests have shown that women do not use relaxation techniques more often than men do. Statistically, we can confirm the hypothesis only partly because women are more released than men only when cooking. Hypothesis, that older persons accept stressful circumstances easier, was entirely discarded. We have also rejected the hypothesis that managing staff or employees with greater responsibility have higher stress exposure. This may be so because the sample of the management staff was markedly small. We have argued that respondents who are employed in the company for many years express disagreements with their superiors much easier, and consequently avoid stress. However, we came to the conclusion that this is not the case. From the survey in which we included employees from Bank X we found that employees are rarely subjected to negative influences of stress within their work environment. Therefore, we can conclude that the level of their satisfaction is higher than we assumed, which results in a positive impact on their work and their private lives as well.
