Abstract

Magistrsko delo obravnava poplavno problematiko v Zagorju ob Savi in obstoječe ter potencialne pristope zagotavljanja poplavne varnosti. Primerjava arhiva preteklih poplav in hidrološke študije hudournika Medija opredeli dejansko stanje poplavne ogroženosti in ugotovitve preveri na terenu. Delo celostno obravnava okoljske dejavnike in potrebe prebivalstva na poplavnem območju v merilu povirja, odseka vodotoka in naselja Kisovec. Predlagan načrt zadostuje hidrološkim potrebam vodotoka, estetskim in funkcionalnim merilom ter predstavlja prispevek stroke krajinske arhitekture k načrtovanju poplavno ogroženih območij.

Secondary title: Holistic flood zone redesign for the Media stream
Secondary abstract: This study examines the flood risks of the Medija watershed and proposes holistic solutions to minimize the impacts of flooding on the infrastructure and safety of local inhabitants. By comparing the archives of past flood events and hydrologic studies, actual flood risk is determined and verified on site. Holistic analysis of the stream, spatial development, and needs of local inhabitants, is done at the three scales: the watershed, problematic section of the stream, and the settlement Kisovec. By using landscape architectural design in flood management previously underutilized public properties now become an important part of the built environment for the public infrastructure, ecosystems, and the community.
