Abstract

Zajema skladnost lastnikovih (podjetnikovih) ambicij, namenov in sposobnosti, notranjih organizacijskih dejavnikov podjetja - regionalno specifičnost proizvodnih virov in infrastrukturo ter zunanjih odnosov in konfiguracijo mrež. Vsi navedeni dejavniki nedvomno vplivajo na usmeritev malega podjetja k rasti, zato smo se v prispevku posvetili vzpostavitvi ustreznega in zanesljivega modela (okvira) in instrumentarija za multidimenzionalno razumevanje povezav med tremi obravnavanimi elementi (podjetnik, podjetje, okolje) podjetniškega procesa in rastjo podjetja.

Secondary title: Challenges and suggestions of multidimensional model in studying MSEs' growth
Secondary abstract: Firm growth is key to economic development and the creation of wealth and employment. Small firm growth, which is the focus of this paper, is a complex matter that is multidimensional in scope and character. It embraces a convergence of the owner's (entrepreneur's) ambitions, intentions, and competencies; internal organizational factors; region-specific resources and infrastructures; and external relationships and network configurations. These will undoubtedly impact an individual small firm's orientation to growth. The paper presents a framework for a valid and reliable entrepreneurship conceptualization that incorporates measures for multi-dimensional understanding of correlations among personal characteristics, firm attributes, and environmental factors affecting firm growth.
