Abstract

V raziskavi sva ugotavljali nekatere značilnosti študentov, ki se odločajo za študij razrednega pouka in socialne pedagogike. Preveriti sva želeli skladnost med značilnostmi študentov in kompetencami, pomembnimi za opravljanje njihovih poklicev v bodočnosti. V raziskavo sva vključili študente Pedagoške fakultete v Ljubljani, ki so bili oktobra 2008 vpisani v 1. letnik razrednega pouka, 1. letnik socialne pedagogike in 2. letnik razrednega pouka. Pri vseh skupinah študentov sva ugotavljali njihove osebnostne poteze, stile navezanosti in samospoštovanje. Rezultati kažejo, da imajo vse tri skupine študentov razmeroma visoko samospoštovanje in se v medosebnih odnosih večinoma počutijo varno. Študentje obeh smeri in generacij dosegajo povprečne rezultate pri osebnostnih dimenzijah energija, sprejemljivost, vestnost in čustvena stabilnost ter nizke pri dimenziji odprtost. Za bodoče strokovnjake, ki bodo delali z ljudmi, je pomembna visoka raven sprejemljivosti in odprtosti, kar pa se ni pokazalo v rezultatih raziskave s študenti razrednega pouka in socialne pedagogike.

Secondary title: Characteristics of students of primary-level teaching and social pedagogy
Secondary abstract: The study tried to determine some of the characteristics of students opting for the study of primary-level teaching and social pedagogy. We wished to examine the conformity of the characteristics of the students with the competences that are important for carrying out their future professions. The study included students of the Faculty of Education in Ljubljana who were in October 2008 enrolled in the 1st year of primary-level teaching, the 1st year of social pedagogy, and the 2nd year of primary-level teaching. In all the groups of students their character traits, attachment styles, and selfrespect were determined. The results show that all three groups of students have a relatively high degree of selfrespect and that they mostly feel safe in interpersonal relationships. The students of both courses and generations achieve average results in the personality dimensions of energy, susceptibility, conscientiousness, and emotional stability, and low results in the dimension of openness. It is important that the future experts who will be working with people possess a high level of susceptibility and openness, which was not the case in the results of the study conducted on the students of primary-level teaching and social pedagogy.
