Abstract
Izjemno hiter tehnološki razvoj je prinesel velike spremembe v šolski sistem, kar še posebej drži za uporabo tehnologije v razredu. Niso se spremenila le oprema, temveč tudi učenci. Naloga se osredotoča na to, kako zadovoljiti potrebe učencev v sodobnem času z uporabo naprav, ki jih dobro poznajo, tako da prikaže, na kakšen način lahko učitelji uporabljajo različna digitalna orodja in aplikacije z namenom motiviranja učencev, prilagoditve različnim učnim stilom in izboljšanja procesa zapominjanja. V ospredju naloge sta predvsem kviz platforma Quizlet in video igra Minecraft Education Edition. Hkrati so predstavljena tudi druga digitalna orodja in aplikacije, ki se lahko uporabljajo za razvoj govorne, slušne, pisne, bralne zmožnosti in za razvoj besedišča in slovnice. Empirični del na podlagi izvedbe učnih ur s pomočjo Quizlet Classic Live, opazovalne metode in analize anket učencev in učiteljev potrjuje prednosti IKT. Uporaba IKT je zabavna, učinkovita in motivira. Preverjanje pravilnosti in ustreznosti spletnih gradiv glede na učne cilje vzame nekaj časa, a se obrestuje. Rezultati anket prikazujejo, da učitelji v razredu na splošno sicer uporabljajo IKT, vendar jih velika večina vseeno meni, da bi potrebovala izobraževanje za poglobitev svojega znanja na tem področju.

Rapid technological development has brought major changes to the educational system, which holds particularly true for the technology use in the classroom. Not only has the equipment changed, but so have students. The thesis focuses on how to satisfy students’ needs in the modern era with the use of the devices which they are very familiar with. The thesis showcases how teachers can use various digital tools and applications to motivate students, support their learning styles and to enhance memorization. The focus of the thesis is mainly on the quiz platform Quizlet and the video game Minecraft Education Edition, but other online tools and applications that can be used for developing speaking, listening, writing, reading, vocabulary and grammar skills are also presented. Through the sessions with Quizlet Classic Live, observation method and the analysis of students’ and teachers’ questionnaires the advantages of ICT use are confirmed: ICT is very entertaining, motivating and efficient. It does, however, take some time for teachers to verify that online materials are correct and meet their objectives, but the outcome is rewarding. The results of the questionnaires show that teachers generally use ICT in the classroom, but a large majority would still like to deepen their knowledge through teacher training. |
