Abstract
V diplomskem delu z naslovom O Romih in integraciji romskih otrok v vrtcu Leskovec smo najprej obravnavali izvor Romov, kje je njihova domovina, kdaj in zakaj so se pričeli seliti in kdaj so se naselili na našem slovenskem ozemlju. V drugem delu obravnavamo problematiko in težave integracije romskih otrok v vrtcu Leskovec. Zanimalo nas je predvsem, na kakšen način vzpostavijo vzgojiteljice prvi stik z romsko družino. Raziskali smo naloge romskega koordinatorja in način vključevanja v vzgojno-izobraževalni proces. Prav tako nas je zanimalo, kaj menijo romski starši o vrtcu, predvsem o njihovem zaupanju do te ustanove in zaposlenih. Po raziskavi med starši iz čistih romskih in mešanih družin smo ugotovili, da starši, ki pošiljajo svoje otroke v vrtec, zaupajo tako vzgojnemu osebju, kot tudi vrtcu. Spoznali smo, da je staršem otrok, ki ne govorijo in ne razumejo slovenskega jezika, pomembna pomoč romskega koordinatorja pri premagovanju jezikovnih ovir. Ugotovili smo, da starši menijo, da bo obiskovanje vrtca njihovim otrokom pomagalo pri nadaljnjem izobraževanju. Prav tako smo ugotovili, da je integracija romskih predšolskih otrok v redne oddelke ključ do uspešnega izobraževanja v osnovni šoli, ker se v vrtcu seznanijo s slovenskim jezikom in dnevno rutino v vrtcu, ki se podobno nadaljuje tudi v osnovni šoli.

About Roma and Integration of Roma Children in Kindergarten Leskovec |

In my diploma paper I focus on the theme about Roma and integration of Roma children in kindergarten Leskovec. At first we dealt with the origin of Roma, where their homeland is, when and why they started to move and when they settled on the territory of Slovenia. In the second part we deal with problems and difficulties of integration of Roma children in kindergarten Leskovec. We have been wondering how educators establish their first contact with a Roma family. We looked into the assignments of a Roma coordinator and were interested in his involvement in the educational process. We were interested as well what Roma parents say about kindergarten, about their trust in this institution and its employees. According to our suryey among Roma and mixed families we came to the conclusion that parents who send their children to kindergarten also trust the teachers and employees there. Parents, who do not understand Slovenian, absolutely need the help of a Roma coordinator to overcome the language barrier. Parents are aware of the importance of sending their children to kindregarten where they learn daily routines, the language and they socialize with other children in mixes play groups. It is easier for these children to start their school education and there are far less problems in primary school. The key to a successful education is early integration in kindergarten and the assistance of a Roma coordinator to overcome the language barrier. |
